Ivy Cottage is positioned with the 'old' front door and cottage fascia now at the rear of the cottage, and you access the property nowadays via the old back garden from the road.

 

The garden slopes down to a stream which has a bridge across it to reach our land on the other side.

Beyond the garden is open fields, woods and farmland. All the local wildlife is free to wander in and out of the garden, so deer and pheasants are a common site, whereas the fox keeps himself hidden!

We also have a large population of Red Kites in the area. These, and Buzzards are regular sights.

​

My hens have a pen in the wooded area which resembles Fort Knox with a secure pen and outside run with an electric fence.

​

This is a beautiful, peaceful location
